Today we confirm 31 more Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours bringing the tally to 1,192; 57,650 samples tested so far.
Pres. Kenyatta: The coronavirus pandemic has and will continue to undermine our efforts to revitalize our economy for the unforeseeable future. We have cumulatively tested 57, 650 samples out of which 1,192 persons have tested positive & lost 50 Kenyans.

Pres. Kenyatta: Every single week, my administration has been dispatching a total of Ksh. 259 Million to vulnerable families. Money in the hands of a family also restores dignity & not depend on lining up waiting for food relief.
Pres. Kenyatta: My administration has rolled out an 8-point economic stimulus program amounting to some Ksh. 53.7 Billion. The first element will focus on infrastructure, a total of Ksh 5 Billion has been set aside to hire local labor to engage in this undertaking.
Pres. Kenyatta: As Govt. we have started to harness the energy of our young people by engaging them in National Hygiene program we expect to spend a total of Ksh. 10 Billion. We have engaged a total of 26,000 young people & now intend to increase the number to 200,000.

About 800 women die from pregnancy or childbirth-related complications around the world every day.
For every woman who dies of maternal related causes, it is estimated that at least 20 women experience a maternal morbidity, one of the most severe forms of which is obstetric fistula.
The fight to end obstetric fistula, one of the most serious and tragic injuries that can occur during childbirth, could be threatened by the current pandemic of COVID-19.
The current pandemic affects all these preventive measures in developing countries where obstetric fistula still exists.
