From today’s cases 623 are Kenyans, while 14 are foreigners, with 361 males and 276 females. The youngest case is a one year old infant, while the oldest is 88.

Nairobi has 342 cases, Machakos 85, Kajiado 57, Kiambu 51, Nakuru 22, Mombasa 17, Nyeri 13, Busia 10, Muranga 9, Uasin Gishu 6, Bomet 5, Kericho 3, Kisii 3, Marsabit 2, & Narok, Vihiga, Meru, Embu, Garissa, Homabay, Kakamega, Kilifi, Kirinyaga, Kisumu & Kitui, Laikipia have each.

In Sub-counties the cases are distributed as follows; In Nairobi the 342 cases are in; Kamukunji (44), Westlands (32), Langata (31), Embakasi South (26), Dagoretti North (24), Embakasi East (24), Kasarani (23), Embakasi West (19), Kibra (18), Makadara (17), Starehe (17), Ruaraka (14), Embakasi Central (13), Embakasi North (11), Roysambu (11), Mathare (10) and Dagoretti South (8).

In Machakos, the 85 cases are in; Athi River (73), Machakos (11), and Kangundo (1), while in Kajiado, the 57 cases are in; Kajiado North (25), Kajiado East (20), Kajiado Central (10), and Loitokitok (2).

In Kiambu, the 51 cases are in; Kabete (12), Kikuyu and Thika (7), cases each, Lari and Ruiru (6) cases each, Gatundu South (5), Kiambaa (4), Limuru (2), Githuguri and Juja (1), case each.

In Nakuru, the 22 cases are in Naivasha (19), and Nakuru East (3), while in Mombasa, the 17 cases are in; Mvita (9), Changamwe (3), Jomvu and Kisauni (2) cases each while Nyali (1).

In Nyeri, all the 17 cases are in Nyeri Central. In Busia, the 10 cases are in Matayos (9), and Teso North (1). In Muranga, the (9) cases are in Maragua (8), and Kigumo (1) while in Uasin Gishu, the 6 cases are in; Turbo and Kesses (3) cases each. Bomet has (5) cases in Bomet Central, Kericho (3) cases in Anamoi, Kisii, (3) cases are in Kitutu Chache South, while Marsabit has (2) cases in North Horr.

The following counties have one case each; Narok in Trans-mara West, Vihiga in Vihiga Town, Meru in Imenti North, Embu in Manyatta, Garissa in Garissa Town, Homabay in Suba North, Kakamega in Lurambi, Kilifi in Kaloleni, Kirinyaga in Kirinyaga Central, Kisumu in Kisumu Central, Kitui in Kitui West, and Laikipia in Laikipia East.

On a positive note, as I earlier told you, we are continuing to witness many recoveries particularly from the home based program. Today 499 patients have recovered out of which 406 are from the home based care program while 93 are from various hospitals. This brings the total number of recoveries to 6,757. Our gratitude goes to our healthcare workers for this commendable work.
Unfortunately, we have lost 10 patients from the disease, bringing our total fatality to 260. My heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones.
