How to check your NHIF contribution status and statement

The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a state parastatal that was established in 1966.
The NHIF Kenya mandate is to provide affordable, accessible and sustainable medical cover to all Kenyans.

On who is eligible for NHIF membership NHIF registers all eligible members from both the formal and informal sectors. For those in the formal sector, it is compulsory to be a member. For those in the informal sector and retirees, membership is open and voluntary

According to NHIF Kenya here is how to check your NHIF contribution status.

CHECK YOUR CONTRIBUTION STATUS

1. By SMS by sending your ID to 21101. Compose a text message with letters ‘ID’ followed by ‘space’ then your ID number to 21101. i.e. ID{Your ID}
2. By USSD – *155#
3. By downloading ‘My NHIF’ app on Google Play.
