57 more test positive for Coronavirus in Kenya now 887
In the last 24hrs, our surveillance and case management team tested 2,198 samples, out of which, 57 people tested positive for Coronavirus, bringing the total number of positive cases in Kenya to 887.
✅34 of the positive cases are males, and 23 are females.
✅The youngest of the cases is 2 years old while the oldest 61 years.
✅Cumulatively, we have so far tested 43, 712 samples.
The distribution of cases by counties is as follows;
✅Mombasa has 35 cases, ✅Nairobi 17 cases,
✅Kajiado 3 cases,
✅Kwale 1 case &
✅ Kitui 1 case.
In Mombasa, the 35 cases are distributed in the following estates;
✅Mvita 22,
✅Likoni 4
✅Changamwe 3
✅ Nyali 3
✅Kisauni 2 cases and
✅Jomvu 1 case.
In Nairobi, the 17 cases are distributed in the following estates;
✅Kibra 9 cases,
✅Mandatory quarantine centre in Nairobi 2 cases
✅Eastleigh 2
✅Aga Khan Hospital 1
✅Kamulu 1
✅Dandora 1 and
✅Pangani 1
Another 12 individual cases tested positive all being Tanzanian Truck drivers 11 at Lunga Lunga Border and 1 in Taveta Border. And were all reffered back to Tanzania.
We are happy to note that twelve patients have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from coronavirus to 313,while those that have succumbed to the disease remain at 50.
