727 new cases, 23 deaths and 254 recoveries today – Health CS Mutahi Kagwe

727 people are the latest to test positive for Covid-19 from a sample of 6,371 tested in the last 24 hrs. 696 are Kenyans while 31 are foreigners. Total positive cases in the Country stands at 21,363 & Cumulative tests 310,330.

The youngest to get infected with Covid-19 is a 1-year-old infant & the oldest is 92 years old.
Unfortunately, we have recorded the highest deaths of 23 cases since the virus was first reported in the Country bringing the country’s fatality to 364.
On a positive note, 254 patients recovered from Covid-19 ; 166 were receiving treatment from various hospitals while 88 were from home based care program bringing our recoveries to 8, 419
Nairobi leads with the highest cases of Covid-19 with 470, Kiambu 64, Kajiado 25, Kirinyaga 20, Mombasa 16, Migori 15, Busia 13, Machakos 12, Laikipia 11, Nakuru 9, Murang’a 9 & Kisumu 9.
More Counties include Nyeri 7, Siaya 7, Nyandarua 5, Narok 5, Uasin Gishu 5, Isiolo 4, Nandi 4, Garissa 3, Bomet 2, Meru 2, Vihiga 2, Homabay 2,Kilifi 1,Bungoma 1, Kisii1,Tranzoia1,Kwale1.Samburu County is the latest to report a case bringing the total number of Counties to 46.
