Our groundbreaking affordable device financing plan, Lipa Mdogo Mdogo, is one of our key projects to ensure we leave no one behind.
Our investment in the network is already paying off. By December this year, we will have covered 100% of the country with our 4G network. We also intend to roll out the 5G network and achieve 100% national coverage in the next five years.
We intend to leverage more on partnerships to drive affordability and innovation in the future in GSM, mobile money services but also enterprise solutions for our customers, and especially MSMEs.
We plan to Go Beyond to new frontiers, be more present, more world-class, and enable new platforms to launch our SMEs into greater possibilities.
We have learned from Kenya how mobile technology and connectivity are driving social and financial inclusion. With M-PESA Africa, we will step up the success in Kenya by going beyond borders to the rest of Africa.
M-PESA defined the second decade as it drove financial inclusion into the corners of this country that financial institutions would never have reached. M-PESA now has over 25 million customers and over 180,000 M-PESA Agent outlets countrywide.
We aim to evolve M-PESA Africa into a lifestyle platform and a universal payment network for the continent and in new frontiers in agriculture, health, and education.
In addition, we are aggregating all MPESA services under the USSD 334. We will also be enhancing control through this USSD by offering an M-PESA self-reversal service.
We’re going Beyond for a Digital Kenya, where we’ll deliver digital solutions & the best network experience to our customers; and further Go Beyond for Kenya’s SMEs, to empower them to run their businesses digitally through enhanced financial services.
