From one case in Kawangware we now have 13 cases in the area. This is a hotspot area and that is why we are doing mass testing; CS Mutahi.

First Kawangware case, case 189 brought about cases 243, 244, 245, 258,269 &270. All these are directly from case 189. Case 14 in Malindi brought about cases 15, 23 & 141.
Mandera has 8 cases & Wajir 2. The danger here is Somalia. It is a worrying case that’s why we have isolated Mandera. Out of today’s 15, 11 are from Mombasa. Mombasa is worrying and we have to take further measures on Mombasa.
Deaths;
More male have died than female.
Currently we have 15 testing laboratories and we shall continue to expand our capacities.
Wajir county now has capacity to carry out tests.

81 % of men have died as a result of coronavirus compared 19% women.
All age groups have been affected by #COVID19 . The most affected are those in the most productive age group 30-59.
Females are recovering faster & in bigger numbers than male. 46% of the positive cases are female. Out of 21 deaths; 19% are female & 81% are male. People between 15 & 30 years, note that you are carrying, passing it on & killing other people.
