90 more test positive for Coronavirus in Kenya now 3305 – Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman

We have tested, 2,419 samples in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to 108,666.

Out of the day’s tests, 90 people tested positive for the virus. This brings to 3,305 the total number of confirmed positive cases in the country.

All of the positive cases are Kenyans, with 62 of them being males and 28 females. The youngest in the group is 14 years old, while the oldest is 80.

Today we have discharged 72 patients from our various hospitals who have recovered from the disease. This brings to 1,164, the total number of those who have so far recovered from the disease.

The 90 cases are distributed in the following counties;
▪️Nairobi – 36
▪️Mombasa – 34
▪️Busia – 12
▪️Uasin Gishu – 3
▪️Kilifi, Garissa, Kisumu, Meru and Turkana one, one case each.

Nairobi cases are from;
▪️Kibra – 12
▪️Makadara and Mathare – 5 cases each
▪️Kamukunji – 4
▪️Langata – 3
▪️Westlands & Embakasi Central – 2 each.
▪️Dagoretti North, Embakasi West & Embakasi South 1 each.

In Mombasa, the 34 cases are from;
▪️Mvita – 14
▪️Kisauni – 8
▪️Likoni, Jomvu and Changamwe – 4 cases each.

In Busia, all the 12 cases are of truck drivers at Malaba border point.

▪️Garissa has 1 case from Garissa Township.
▪️Kilifi, 1 case from Kilifi North.
▪️Kisumu 1 case from Kisumu Central.
▪️Meru 1 case from Imenti Central.
▪️Turkana 1 case, Turkana west.

Today we have lost 4 people from the disease. This now brings the total number of fatalities to 96.
