73 new cases,97 recoveries and 11 succumb to Covid-19 in Kenya
Today 73 people have tested positive of coronavirus from a sample size of 2,001 tested in the last 24 hours, bringing to 41, 619 the number of confirmed positive cases in the country. Our cumulative tests are now 593,199. From the cases, 70 are Kenyans and 3 are foreigners. 46 are males and 27 females. The youngest is 17 years old while the oldest is 77.
Distribution of the cases by Counties is as follows; Nairobi 34, Kilifi 18, Mombasa 11, Busia 4, Taita Taveta 2, Kirinyaga 1. Kiambu 1, Meru 1 and Uasin Gishu 1.
97 people have recovered from the disease with 66 discharged from various hospitals and 31 from the Home-Based Care Program. Total recoveries now stand at 31,097.
Unfortunately, 11 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the fatality to 777. Our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their loved ones.
