30 new Coronavirus cases confirmed in Kenya now 465 – Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman
In the last 24 hours;
✅883 samples have been tested.
✅30 people have tested positive for coronavirus.
✅19 cases are from Mombasa
✅8 from Nairobi,
✅2 from Bungoma
✅1 from Kitui.
✅16 counties affected.
Bungoma being the latest County.
✅2 fatalities in Mombasa
23 males and 7 females.
The cases are distributed in the following estates in Nairobi;
✅Kawangware (2),
✅Eastleigh (5)
✅Kibera (1).
Mombasa;
✅Mvita (15)
✅Kisauni (3)
✅Likoni (1).
✅Kitui (1) case from Mwingi town.
The two cases from Bungoma County are truck drivers.
The total case load in the country is now at 465.
The new cases gender;
*23 are males &
*7 are females
Age range
*4 years for the youngest & *64 years for the oldest.
2 more patients have succumbed to #COVID19 in Mombasa bringing total number of deaths to 24.
We are delighted to inform you that within the same period, we registered fifteen (15) more recoveries that have been discharged from our hospitals.

We are appealing to Kenyans in targeted areas such as Kawangware to come forward to be tested, if we have to flatten the curve; Dr Aman.
The Ministry of Health has acquired the capacity to undertake targeted testing but the willingness of the people to be tested is low.
The Ministry of Health is encouraging Kenyans in the target areas to present themselves for testing. The tests will be conducted free of charge.
We are cautioning hotels and mosques not observing laid down protocols.
There is public outcry that some hoteliers are not following the protocols that we have established.
Hoteliers should abide by the containment measures set.
Our surveillance team will be on the lookout for those who violate rules and we will close the hotel.
The Inspector General of Police has been directed by the National Emergency Response Committee to designate a curfew-breakers holding place; the place must be able to meet the social distancing requirement.
We have noted with dismay the casual attitude with which some of our people are not observing these measures. We have observed that some eateries are not only operating without any regard to the social distancing requirement but also deep into curfew hours…
