IEBC clears Anne Kananu Mwenda for Nairobi Deputy Governor appointment
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko choice for Deputy Governor Anne Kananu Mwenda has been cleared for appointment as Nairobi Deputy Governor by the IEBC.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Nairobi County Returning Officer Joseph Eroo cleared Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko choice for deputy governor Anne Kananu Mwenda for the Nairobi Deputy governor appointment.
This is a major boost to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko as Anne Kananu Mwenda was her nominee for the Nairobi Deputy Governor appointment.
Anne Kananu Mwenda name has been forwarded to the county assembly for vetting.
Ann Kananu was nominated by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to the position of Deputy Governor two years after Polycarp Igathe resigned leaving the position vacant.
